So which one is it?
I use Mac OS 10.5 (Mac OS X Leopard) myself. I've been using it ever since July of this year when I got my iMac. I am absolutely in love with it and will never ever EVER go back to a PC again! I had Windows XP on my old computer, which is now my mom's computer.
There were a few reasons for why I switched:
1.) I learned how to use a computer when I was in elementary school with Macs, and I loved them!
2.) My sister got one of the original Bondi Blue iMacs when they first came out about 11 years ago and I fell in love with it! I desperately wanted one, but at the time not much was compatible with Macs, so I didn't get one.
3.) Micro$oft screwed my old computer up when they released Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, and when I called them to report a problem with my computer they wouldn't own up to it and basically told me it was my fault my computer got screwed up! (I guess that's how come it worked PERFECTLY up until I installed their crappy software then, huh?) What happened was it made my DVD-ROM drive completely inoperable! If I put a DVD in there to watch, the computer had no idea what to do with it and I never was able to figure out how to fix the d**n thing! So when I called them and was told it was MY fault, I let the lady on the phone know how dissatisfied I was and I told her I wouldn't be buying another computer with any of their software on it, and guess what? I didn't! (Needless to say, after the DVD-ROM problem it was all downhill from there! The computer started getting slower and it crashed and froze up all the time and was just generally annoying to use!)
4.) The same day I went computer shopping was the same day M$ stopped shipping XP with all new computers and instead started shipping them with Vista. I think Vista is extremely overrated and I haven't heard anything good about it, so I figured that would be the perfect time to switch.
So now I'm a firm Mac lover for life! Never again will I be bothered with a PC!
Oh, and so far I don't have one single Micro$oft program installed on my computer!
